When a patient is experiencing problematic, irregular menstrual bleeding, an endometrial biopsy may be needed to examine the lining of the uterus for abnormal cells and rule out the possibility of cancer. As a family medical practice that specializes in women’s health procedures, Patients First of Countryway provides this skilled procedure from the comfort of our two offices in Tampa.  Our physicians take the time to fully explain the procedure beforehand and, based on the results, provide trusted advice and further medical referrals when needed.

Why It’s Done

  • Abnormal menstrual periods (heavy, prolonged, or irregular bleeding)
  • Bleeding after menopause
  • Bleeding from taking hormone therapy medications
  • Thickened uterine lining seen on ultrasound

If you would like to schedule an appointment, please call Patients First of Countryway at 813.891.6310 or request an appointment on our website.
