Elizabeth Thompson new member of the Patients-First family

Born and raised in Minnesota, Elizabeth attended the University of Minnesota – Minneapolis campus and graduated in 2003 with a BA in psychology. She then moved to Des Moines, Iowa to attend the PA program at Des Moines University – Osteopathic Medical Center. After graduating in 2006 with her Master of Science degree, she moved to Florida to begin practice.

She is an active member of the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants, currently serving on their Board of Directors as Secretary for the 2009-2010 term. The Academy works to improve healthcare for all Floridians.

Elizabeth worked for 2 years prior to joining Patients First in internal medicine, and her special interests include geriatrics, prevention of cardiovascular disease incorporating healthy diet and exercise, and chronic kidney disease and diabetes management. She also enjoys in-office skin procedures such as mole removal, suturing, and other biopsies.

She is available for well-woman exams, Pap smears, and other women’s health issues. Elizabeth is available to see children ages 5 and up for physicals as well.
